Frequently Asked Questions
Question: I need a new website. What things should I start thinking about?
Answer: Several things are needed to build a website. Things to consider are what you want the text on your site to say, what pictures you want on your website, what would you like your website to look like and what do you want your website to do. Having these materials and information available to us will greatly speed up the process of building your website. If these items aren't available, Rondo Web Design offers a variety of services to create content for your site at a fee based on the amount and type of content needed.
Question: How quickly can I expect updates to my site to be made?
Answer: We make every effort to update your site as soon as we are notified by you about the changes. We do ask for up to 3 business days to make changes and updates to your website. Larger projects may take more time as we communicate with you as the project is completed.
Question: I need a new website. How long will this take?
Answer: We ask for 2-3 weeks at a minimum when designing a new website. Sometimes
the process of designing and building your new website takes more or less time.
We want to do the job right, so we never promise a new website will be complete
really quickly. The price of your website depends mainly on the scope of the
project and how much time, work and expenses will be involved on our end. There
is no "set price" that we charge to design a website, as each project
is unique.
Question: How much website maintenance do I get with the $35 monthly hosting
fee?
Answer: As a FREE SERVICE to our customers, we will make ONE minor change each
month to a customer's website at no charge. Examples of a minor change to a website
would be a phone number change, add a small amount of text, or change a picture.
Effective immediately: Any website updates or changes requested by a customer
above what is 'free' will be charged as production time, which is $45.00 per
hour. There is a half-hour minimum charge for production time.
Question: Why was I charged a "production" fee on my invoice?
Answer: Production fees are charged at an hourly rate of $45.00 (half-hour minimum)
for projects our customers ask us to complete for them. This is the time we spend
on your website in order to complete the work. Like anyone else that runs a business,
we charge for our time and services.
Question: I haven't paid my invoice for a long time. What can I expect to happen?
Answer: We understand that there are occassionally circumstances where a customer
needs a little extra time to pay their bill. In this event, we ask that our customer
make arrangements with us on payment. Our policy is at 60 days delinquent on
payment of invoice, a customer's products are subject to removal from the Internet.
No website files or domain names will be released to customer until all outstanding
invoices are paid in full.
Question: I have decided to move my website to another company. What are your
policies regarding this?
Answer: We would need the request to move domain names and websites in writing.
Then, your domain names would be released. This is for your protection as well
as ours. We release all HTML pages and graphics. We DO NOT release javascript
code and PHP code, as this is our proprietary code and is not owned by customers.
We do not guarantee that any PHP coding or Javascript coding we allow our customers
to use will work on someone else's web server, so it is not released to other
web design companies.
There is a $20.00 fee to release each domain name and a $50.00 fee to release
HTML and graphics files.
All outstanding invoices must be PAID IN FULL by customer before any domain
names, HTML files or graphics files would be released. |
